海にペットボトルが浮いていた。捨てられたプラスチックは美しいはずがないのに、きらきら反射して美しくみえた。人間の解釈とは関係なく、光はすべてをフラットに照らす。生物たちは与えられた環境で、ただそこにいる。人間が環境にどれほど悪影響を及ぼそうが、自然は包摂し、動物たちは生きていく。
I saw a plastic bottle floating in the ocean. The discarded plastic was not supposed to be beautiful, but it looked beautiful with its sparkling reflection. Regardless of human interpretation, light illuminates everything flatly. Living things are just there, in their given environment. No matter how badly we humans affect the environment, nature encompasses it and the animals live on.

スズメバチが静かに死んでいた。自分には関係のないことだが、よくよく考えると関係なくはない。少なくともその死骸がめちゃくちゃ気になっている。まったく独立した生き物だけど、ただ同じ空間にいるだけで何かしらの相互作用は起きる。存在に対する応答は避けられない。
A wasp was quietly dying. It's none of my business, but when I think about it, it's not unrelated. At least the carcass is bothering me a lot. They are completely independent creatures, but just by being in the same space, some kind of interaction occurs. A response to existence is inevitable.

佇まいに圧倒される木がある。ひとつひとつの枝葉に隙がなく、すべての部分にエネルギーがつまっているようだ。木はただ生きているだけなのになぜこんなにも心が動かされるのか。人工的なものと自然なものの違いは何か。生命には私たちが感じていながら測定できない何かがある。
There is a tree that is overwhelming in its appearance. Each branch and leaf is seamless, and every part of it seems to be filled with energy. The tree is just alive, so why does it move me so much? What is the difference between something artificial and something natural? There is something about life that we can feel, but cannot measure.
