生成モデルの潜在表現を使った、お花の絵。インプットは、フローリストのKAMYU STYLE が見立てたアーティフィシャルフラワー。その画像を潜在空間に写像し、生成過程で像として現れない要素を取り出し、絵画として再構成しています。花として成立しないはずの、色やかたちの断片。それでも私たちは、そこにどこか「花らしさ」を感じ取ります。私たちは、どこから「花」を感じ取っているのでしょうか。

A painting of flowers, made using the latent representations of a generative model. The starting point is an arrangement of artificial flowers created by florist KAMYU STYLE. An image of the arrangement is mapped into the model’s latent space, from which elements that never emerge as recognizable forms in the generative process are extracted and reconfigured as a painting. Fragments of color and form that should not, in themselves, constitute a flower. And yet, somehow, we still perceive a certain “flower-ness” within them. Where does our sense of a flower begin?
